Managing channels from Anaconda.org#

Channels are locations where Navigator and conda look for packages. You can search for and browse packages and channels on Anaconda.org.

For example, let’s say you want to look for packages on the “Milagro” channel of Anaconda.org. All three of these channel variations will look for packages in the same place on anaconda.org:

Adding a channel#

  1. Click Channels to open the channels manager.

  2. Click Add.

  3. Enter the channel name, the URL, or the conda URL and press Enter or return.

    Note

A URL can also contain an access token parameter and value. A URL will automatically be transformed to a conda URL.

  4. Click Update channels.

Deleting a channel#

  1. Click Channels to open the channels manager.

  2. Click the trash can icon next to the channel name.

  3. Click Update channels.
